I've been trying to get this. I KNOW I have had more than 13 kills/round with C4 but still no badge. I am wondering if you have to actually place it on a vehicle? For the most part I have been placing it on the ground and waiting for my victim.

Well, make sure that you don't kill yourself/suicide or teamkill...cuz that takes off points for explosives, so it won't count as a kill if u suicde and kill somebody else...I've been trying to get it too, but still don't have it...You might wanna try playing with a friend and kill him around 10-15 times with C4...but on GameSpot it says....10 kills with Mines, C4 or Claymore(probably the easiest way)

Well, to make a long story short. I kick a$$ at BF1942 and BF2.

So playing for about 10 years just to get 1 medal is a complete laugh.
Its just not worth it. I already know I am awsome at BF2. The 46 Gold Medals, 146 knife kills, and 2864 revives sort of prove it.
If not then I dont care. Im just happy playing BF2.

( And no noob talk please, I already know I was exagerating when I said it takes 10 years to get a medal. )

Some of those requirements are off...like the air-defense ribbon and badge.."stating you have to on a AA gun for 10 min to get the badge"...wrong...just check my stats....Where can I get the official BF2 awards requirements?? It just seems like some of this stuff is made up.

I dont think so! I've EARNED all my awards and will just keep trying until I get that!

wow, the times required for some of those are rediculous.
heh, I checked some of the top gamers on Xfire, and even the most hard core MMO players have only ~1500 hours in game...
IMO they should make it so that by the time you get corporal, you have the vet badge for the class you play most.

Lies, many lies. I'm sorry but I know most of these are wrong. I'm sure they have gone through some work to get the right number for the easier awards but are completely off on hours on many of the medals and advanced badges.

But if its like any other Requirments pages, it will give me a good laugh when I see I have to play for 7,000 hours to get a medal.

they made it lkike this so people wouldnt get the medals in until later on. they may have put them out of reach until most people are sergeant for example, then they will clock them down. maybe. because some guy who has veteran helicopter has been in a helicopter for 100 hours and he has 5000 kills, so another 2900 hours and 20,000 kills seems a bit too much.

13 kills is correct. I did it with claymores.

13 kills is the number, i did it with C4 and then ding ding i was wow i got a badge, i was just running around on SaK into the crowd on enimies and i would drop 2 then BOOM! lol

IMO it's most likely is that this stat system is going to carry onto the next battlefield game...
It would be a waste to just drop the idea or restart fresh for the future games...
