Industry Attacks Continue: Eve, Minecraft, and EscapistMagazine All Hit

The series of attacks and hacks continue from Lulzsec today as they took down Minecraft servers earlier today, they brought down the Escapist Magazine servers and site (and as of this writing they are still down), and have DDoS'ed the Eve Online login servers.

This news comes from all over today but the primary source is from the boastful proclamations from the LulzSec Twitter feed.

Okay Escapist Magazine, let's play a little game...

Tango down: escapistmagazine.com *munches popcorn* wonder where the gamers are gonna run now.

Primary Lulz Cannon is making toast of Escapist Magazine. The real disruption ammunition is secretly causing hell for their sysadmins. umad?

We're firing at Escapist Magazine with around 0.4% of our total ammunition. Let's see what their admins are made of - game is on, folks.

We just wiped out the login server for Eve Online, and it accidentally took their website out at the same time: eveonline.com

Just sunk the Minecraft login server, looks like their website also got hit from overkill: minecraft.net not even firing at the site.

They also took down a site linked to monitoring software that is apparently sold to the government. They promised more will be coming today.

In fact, during the course of writing this news post, they just took down the League of Legends login servers. Expect to experience a very bumpy day today.
Working...
