Steam Holiday Sale! Daily Deals, Bundles, and Other Big Savings Until January 2, 2011

The annual Steam Holiday Sale has just kicked off and is all geared up to last gamers until the 2nd of January in the new year.

This one looks to be a massive sale. A promise of daily sales + publisher packs + bundle deals means that there are over 1,000 games slated to be on sale during this holiday event. Valve is also going to have special deals where, if you own one game already, you might be able to get an extra percentage off of another sale item. Read on for the details!

In addition to the usual savings specials, each day of the sale will feature a special Holiday Bonus on one select title. The twist: Players must qualify for the Holiday Bonus by owning another Steam game.

For example, the first Holiday Bonus is Portal - save an extra 10% if you own Half-Life 2. If you already own the title, Steam will automatically detect this and offer you the 10% savings during check out.
