CD Projekt, the developer behind The Witcher 2 is not going to take too kindly to those that pirate the upcoming sequel. Gamers who pirate the game should expect to be fined or met with legal action.
The game, shipping without any DRM through GOG.com, is said to be ripe for the picking amongst pirates due to it being a single-player RPG. CD Projekt has already started to make deals with "legal firms and torrent sneaking companies."
The Witcher 2 is hopeful to sell at least 1.3 million units in the year following its release in May of 2011.

"Of course we're not happy when people are pirating our games, so we are signing with legal firms and torrent sneaking companies," CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwiński said.
"In quite a few big countries, when people are downloading it illegally they can expect a letter from a legal firm saying, 'Hey, you downloaded it illegally and right now you have to pay a fine.'
