Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Beta Updated

DICE has rolled out a small patch for the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 beta.

The RC2 contains the following fixes:

Front end:
- Fixes server browser crashes. Server browser more resilient against corrupt online service data, and better support for large number of servers.
-Several server browser ping issues resolved.

Windows XP stability:
-Fixed crash on windows XP at end of round, exit game and display mode changes and.
-Proper window style / mouse confinement when starting game maximized on XP .

Options dialog:
- Mouse sensitivity setting gives more effect.
- Mouse sensitivity loaded on game startup.

Important note: If you do not launch the game through the patcher, you will need to run the "BFBC2BetaUpdater.exe" in your Bad Company 2 folder. If you run Windows 7 with UAC enabled or Windows Vista with UAC enabled, you will need to run the updated as an administrator.

on a related note, thank you for the key.

This game is turning out to be pretty awesome. It's got some of the great game play that BF2 had but with better graphics. It runs very smooth on a Quad-core 9550/GTX285 (all settings at high). I'm really liking the new Frostbite engine, being able to destroy a wall to get at a pesky sniper is amazing. Pretty sure this is going to be my new go-to game, at least until BF3 comes out.

I want to know WHY we have to run through hoops to play the beta!!!

It is a SAD SAD day in the gaming community when sites are profiting off of a beta release!! ( I've seen several sites that want you to PAY for access and then they don't even give you the key )!!

I'm still pissed at EA and Dice for doing this. I can understand they don't want their servers crashing from everyone playing the min they get it, but how about giving us access to ONE map on single player in the beta...

I guess I'll just patiently wait for the other thread to be unlocked.. :)

I'm am so sad about being one day to late to be able to get myself a key for the beta...
I can't believe the new way's of dice how they just work the ppl with pre-ordering
and sign up and needing to pay with paypal to become paying member so u can get
a BETA key. This is ridiculis.. I can't believe it. I still remember the demo with bf2..
Everyone playing happely get all your friends and go play. I hope we will get a demo
like that also with bad company 2. I happen to came agross someone on a torrent
community that was kind enough to share his key with me. Turns out its a US key
and me living in EU cant play with that.. I got all hyped-up to give this baby a try!

If some kind person on this forum here or have a to slow pc that he cant play normal
or just plain simple doesnt like it. If u want to make another very happy please share
an eu beta key with me. Will be thankfull a TON!

I jus't not pre-ordering because i need to now how heavy it is for the hardware.
And i don't like playing games with the retailers ordering it and cancelling it again
just for a beta key.. I won't bring that hustle to them ppl.

I just still hope a little miricle will happen and that somebody can share
a wording key with me. I will happely give out my US key to someone
that i gonna make happy with..
