GameStop seems to be in the habit of breaking street dates as of late. Their most recent victim is none other than Valve's Left 4 Dead 2. Community contributors EliteGuy and Technopath both reported that a torrent of the Xbox 360 version of Left 4 Dead 2 has already started to appear at various sites.
This seems to concide with reports that both Left 4 Dead 2 and Assassin's Creed II were sold early by game retailer GameStop. Another recent and notable broken street date was the one for Modern Warfare 2 that GameStop also sold early to various Xbox 360 owners. That game was also made available via torrent sites days before the actual release date.
For the rest of us, we still have to wait three days until Left 4 Dead 2 is released. Fortunately, Valve included a handy little time release guide (12AM EST November 17; 9PM PST November 16) to scope out. Also of note are the character bio pages they set up for Nick, Ellis, Coach, and Rochelle.
