Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Pushed Back Until 2AM (EDT)

Good news Left 4 Dead 2 hopefuls, you can stop complaining that the demo didn't come out at 4PM (EDT)! Instead, you can transfer your angst over to complaining about how the demo will not be released until 2AM (EDT) on October 28th.

This updated time comes from the official Left 4 Dead 2 Steam Community page in which the following announcement was made.

October 28 @ 02:00am

Early access to the Left 4 Dead 2 demo begins for users that have pre-purchased via Steam or at participating retailers.

Come clean now, is anybody honestly surprised?

I saw this coming a mile away. 1 PM didn't seem real. Also, Valve Time (http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Valve_Time) would not have yielded this time as well. Oh well, I get to wait 8 and half more hours. :P

Totally saw it coming though I didn't want it too.

How nerdy would I be to go to sleep at like 10? and wake up at 2am and play for a few hours before getting up at 7am for work :X

Well as valve as said it themselves that the 360 is just like a pc so they you think MS would allow them to release a buggy demo? I don't think so.

And if it so close to the same how come all the efforts for the 360? I know as a pc user I get shit for free but I almost to the point to were I rather pay for updates to get what is promised.

It's not really a bad wait. I remember when Assassin's Creed released on Steam I had to wait a full day for the GAME to come out. People were already playing the game that they got from stores, and this was for the full game, not a demo. It was really annoying and I am STILL irked at Ubisoft... I remember them saying, "be one of the first people to play the game when it's released!" It was a bunch of bull...

One more thing, it probably has something to do with Steamworks. That's the only thing that is different, structure wise, to the console version. They also just released an update fixing something with it...
