IGN has put together a little look inside the workings at Gearbox Software. Perhaps watching this will take your mind off of the Modern Warfare 2 debacle.

Borderlands is slated to be released on October 20th for the consoles and the 26th for the PC.

the game is actually sweet looking. The Executive Producer for the game came to talk to us in our Sight Sound Motion class today. despite it's graphics looking a little weird (they used the Unreal 3 engine he said), it's gameplay is epic. Also before you talk about the graphics think for a moment, who wants a realistic looking game (which the graphics were very detailed and realistic like Uncharted 2) with numbers flying off someone everytime you hit them with a weapon? That is why they changed the look of the game to more accommodate the numbers, they wanted everything to fit. To be honest, it can't be compared to games that are story heavy. It focuses more on co-op play than solo story play, if you want that type of game than get an fps. Borderlands is a combination of both fps AND rpg elements. Yes you level up. Weapons have classes in which u can assemble a number of weapons through the individual parts you can find. If you haven't played it you should, even if one of your friends owns it instead of buying it yourself.
