Executive Director at Bethesda Softworks, Todd Howard, spoke earlier today at QuakeCon 2009. While fielding a number of questions from the audience concerning the future releases from the company, Howard did throw a curve ball to one particular question.
When asked if there were any current plans for a new Elder Scrolls title, he replied that there are "no current plans for an Elder Scrolls 5." However, when asked about the prospect of an Elder Scrolls MMO, he did say that "there's always a chance." Though a quick look at some recently registered domain names for an Elder Scrolls MMO certainly indicate that the game is very much in the works.
Right now the company is working on their "next big game" but did not provide any details beyond that statement. For more information on QuakeCon 2009, head on over to the official QuakeCon home page and keep checking back here for more news and information.
