The San Diego Comic-Con is the gift that just keeps on giving. Earlier, Valve revealed some tasty new details to the event goers by way of new Common Infected and a few new gameplay mechanics.
First up, the addition of riot gear wearing Infected join the party. These nasty kevlar wearing Common won't easily go down with frontal shots, but are quickly dispatched from behind. Those who find themselves face to face with these Infected can briefly stun them with a quick melee attack. This melee attack also has a chance to turn the riot gear foes around, exposing their vulnerable back side to the player.
Also according to Kotaku, Valve showed off the final two parts to the Parish campaign. This campaign reveals how the new survivors eventually make it out of New Orleans.
Comic-Con 2009 is just heating up and with any luck we will see fresh screens and footage from the show floor. Until then, check out the rest of our coverage of Left 4 Dead 2.
