A mysterious Tweet from the Official Battlefield 1943 Twitter gives off strong hints of a tie-in with future Battlefield title, Bad Company 2.
Gaming site, PSXExtreme, raises the question about what this may actually mean. Perhaps it's a hint that if you do well in 1943, advanced unlocks will be open to you in Bad Company 2. Undoubtedly, nobody really knows for certain outside of the developers.
"Think you're a Bad Ass with BF1943 weapons? What if I said you'll be able to use your Semi-Auto Rifle, Sniper Rifle, or SMG in BFBC2!"
