In less than a week since the game's release, Xbox 360 owners of Battlefield 1943 have already unlocked Coral Sea. With the official kill count beginning on July 9, Xbox 360 players have tallied up 43,000,000 kills and have unlocked Coral Sea.
As of this writing, PlayStation 3 owners still have a ways to go. Sitting at just 23 million kills and counting, it may still be a few days before PS3 owners can enjoy the additional map.
The MTV Multiplayer Blog notes that Coral Sea won't be included in with the normal map rotation. This is to ensure that players won't be forced to play an air-only map.
