Joining in with 2K Marin, 2K Australia and Digital Extremes a fourth developer was just announced as being hard at work on parts of BioShock 2. Arkane Studios, the developer behind Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, was picked up to work on various levels for the underwater sequel.
There's a joke somewhere here about how many developers does it take to screw in a lightbulb, but I just can't place my finger on it. Hopefully, the more developers that work on BioShock 2 the better the game will end up.
BioShock 2 is slated for release later this year for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC platforms.
