  • Germany Places Ban on Violent Games at LAN Events

Germany is really cracking down on their ban on violent games. The latest step to try and curb juvenile violence in the country is to place a ban on all violent games at LAN events, including our beloved Counter-Strike.

This move comes on the heals of a string of violent school shootings.
They have mostly gone unexplained and that is the reason the Government decided to step in. Different local governments in Germany have decided to BAN all "killer" games at LAN events. This sadly has lead to the cancellation of multiple ESL Friday Night games, and it has now claimed the Convention-X-Treme tournament.

According to Gotfrag, those in charge of Convention-X-Treme are looking for a new location for future events. Those who have already paid in full for the event that was coming up will be issued a full refund.
