[Rumor Smash] PS3 Version of Left 4 Dead is Not in the Works

EA's official game page for Left 4 Dead 2 had, at one point earlier yesterday, a listing for a PlayStation 3 version of the title. Thus far, the game has only been confirmed for the Xbox 360 and PC platforms, and given Valve's hatred of PS3 development this listing should have raised more than a few eyebrows.

Now, before you get all worked up in a tizzy about this, it should be known that the rumor has already been smashed. A forum member on NeoGAF already received word from Gabe Newell, that there is no PS3 version planned. The listing for the game on the PlayStation 3 section of the EA site has also been removed.

Given the quick nature of this rumor and subsequent rumor smash it's understandable that some may not know that the rumor has already been shown to be false. We wanted to just remind our readers that Left 4 Dead 2 is currently only a Xbox 360 and PC exclusive.

Saw that one coming... hey, if they don't have the programmers that know the processor architecture, then I wouldn't see why they would want to release it on the system...
