The fate of Aliens: Colonial Marines was anybody guess over the past few months. The game has been met with a handful of delays and eventually fell completely off of the radar. Fortunately, Randy Pitchford from Gearbox confirms that the game is still in the works and that a DS version is also planned.
As noted, it looks as though eager gamers will have to wait until at least 2010 to play as a Colonial Marine.
Colonial Marines was first announced in 2006, then slated for a 2008 ship date. Later that was pushed back by retailer listings to mid-2009. But Pitchford said the game won't be coming this year.
He did say that along with working on Borderlands and Aliens: Colonial Marines, Gearbox is also working on two other yet-to-be-announced titles.
