43 Million Kills Unlocks Fourth Battlefield 1943 Map

Battlefield 1943 is almost ready to be unleashed on the home consoles next month. Shipping with three maps, the teams at DICE and EA have revealed a tasty bit of good news for fans of the series.

After amassing a combined 43 million kills, a fourth map will be unlocked. The fourth map, Coral Sea, may ring a bell to some.

"Coral Sea is designed to showcase the intense battle in the skies, offering an all-new Air superiority game mode. The legendary WWII action this map provides will have players dog fighting in this airplanes-only map, proving once again DICE delivers on a first class online vehicle warfare experience better than anyone else!"

Console owners will get to play Battlefield 1943 next month. PC owners will have to wait a bit longer for their chance to go back in time.

WOOW 3 WHOLE maps? That's just amazing! (sarcasm mode off)

This keeps getting worse and worse, multiplayer games are shipping with less and less content. I mean 3 Maps! what's next counter strike 2 released with just an updated version of dust2? I'll admit this is partly the players fault, most people are content to play the same map over and over and over with the same 2 weapons until you want to scream
