A reveal announcement that surprised absolutely nobody was made today for Thief 4. Eidos Montreal has officially revealed that they have been hard at work in the latest in the Thief series.
"We're in the early development stages for Thief 4," said Stephane D'Astous, the shop's general manager. "While it's too early for us to offer any specific game details, right now we are focused on recruiting the very best talent to join the core team at the studio." The game also has an official Web site, www.thief4.com, the forums on which are live.
The company teased the start of production on Thief 4 over a year ago. Eidos is also hard at work on the third entry in the Deus Ex series. Deus Ex 3 is slated to be released in the Fall of 2010. There is no set release period for Thief 4 just yet.
