The PC release of Fallout 3's latest DLC, Broken Steel, was released and then quickly pulled today after it was discovered the content wouldn't even install on most user's computers.
An error message of "Not a cryptographic message or the cryptographic message is not formatted correctly. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8009200D)" was happily displayed to many purchasers of the PC version. Shacknews received word from Bethesda that this is actually an error with the Games for Windows Live installer.
For the time being, the DLC was pulled from the Marketplace. Xbox 360 owners should have a relatively pleasant gaming experience this time around.

Broken Steel's PC installation issues are "a games for Windows Live DRM Install error", a Bethesda representative has told Shacknews. "Microsoft is working on fixing it, and we'll let everyone know once we've verified it."
