Killzone 2's "Behind the Bullet" Released on PSN

As promised, Guerrilla Games has released an interactive version of their Killzone 2 commercial. To prove that the commercial was done in real-time using in-game assets, the interactive commercial allows players to move the camera around, change the graphical settings, and hear commentary from the developers.
The decision to use the actual game engine for the visuals was made early on. "We knew upfront that Guerrilla Games had created one of the most sophisticated and powerful game engines ever," says Tom Dunlap, senior vice president at Deutsch. "We wanted to show the power of this technology by rooting all of our executions within it." During the production of the commercial, the assembled creative team also began brainstorming about another way to convey the power of the game engine: by making the whole experience interactive.

And so, Behind The Bullet was born. Transforming the 30-second commercial into a three minute interactive demonstration, Behind The Bullet is a free PlayStation Network download which allows players to manipulate the camera as it follows the bullet through the battlefield. Highlighted events and objects are accompanied by audio commentary from the director and the visual artists, while various visual filters (lighting, coloration, textures etc.) can be toggled on or off to demonstrate how they affect the scene.

In case you've forgotten what the commercial looks like, we've embedded it below. PlayStation 3 users can download the "demo", for free, from the US PlayStation Store. European gamers can expect the release to come shortly.<!--more-->

Re: Killzone 2's "Behind the Bullet" Released on PSN

A total side note on Killzone 2 is that the game 50% or more of the time fails using the PS Network... I bought a PS3 and was excited about this game only to return it the next day because the dev. team of Killzone 2 didn't know they're own error codes for their game.
Just my beef with Killzone 2.
