While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Why? Because ignoring the cause of a crime does NOTHING to prevent it from happening again and does NOTHING to contribute to the stability of the community you claim to love. Burying your head in the sand and hoping it will go away is actually Counter-Productive (TM).
You're acting like a spoiled little pussy.
Ha. I'm not a law enforcement official. I do not care about the why, and never will. But the admission is enough to warrant a warning and a ban from this site. This isn't something you can even bother arguing, so don't even try.
Wow. Just wow. What a fuckin' pusswipe. Ever think of going into politics? You'd make a perfect Republican.
Oh, and as long as I'm leaving, here's what Zippy the Pinhead deleted, for however long it stays visible:
Ha. This isn't about law enforcement, it's about the health of the CS community at large but you're obviously in a can't-see-the-forest-for-the-trees state of tunnel visioned denial. It is indeed a good thing that a site with this kind of attitude is nothing more than what little it is.
I've been playing Counter-Strike for 6 years now, and been coming to csnation for the last couple of years, but have yet to post.
However, I felt that I needed to say something in this particular thread. I have long been a supporter of the gaming industry and have legally bought most of the games I have.
That being said, I can see where people like ALT + F4 are coming from when they say that there is a point to piracy beyond just saving a few bucks.
I'm not saying that this is exactly the right way to send a message to Valve or any company for that matter. However, as I said, being a long time member of the community I find it somewhat appauling that The Mods of this thread aren't really listening to whats being said.
Lets be honest, lots of people are involved in piracy.
Yes, You have your rules about talking about piracy and related issues, and yes, you need to keep your site clean so it doesn't get nailed by some Lawyer down at Valve.. But at the same time, I think its becoming clear that your antagonizing a lot of the people who are here.
I believe you are doing the right thing by keeping your nose clean of all the red tape that comes with aligning yourself with pirates.. But try not to be such dicks about it.. I think it would ease a bit of the tension..
Wow. Just wow. What a fuckin' pusswipe. Ever think of going into politics? You'd make a perfect Republican.

Here, kid — you can have your ball back.
Tough. You don't work here, so I wouldn't expect you to understand one little bit. Don't pirate. Don't admit to pirating here if you do. Don't like it, go elsewhere. It's quite clear you have no concept of what is morally and ethically right and LEGAL and what is not. If that is your attitude, I don't want to hear it. This is NOT and has NEVER been the place to discuss the issue of piracy, especially the self-admission of it.
No, I don't work there (thankfully) but I have worked inside the industry and I understand more than you can possibly imagine. I understand that there's legal and illegal, moral and imoral, ethical and unethical. I understand that you don't want/like people admitting to piracy here. That's all fine and within the limits of your little kingdom.
What I've been trying to get through YOUR head is that piracy is a problem. You can discuss the problem with endorsing it. Either you can't understand that, or you just don't want to.
As I've said before, publishers have a pathological fear of any public mention of the subject, as if every simple mention of the word spawns a thousand illegal downloads instantly.
And so, again, if you are indeed nothing but a puppet for any arm of the industry I understand your irrational paranoia. If, on the other hand, you're a free-thinking American gamer, you have a serious comprehension problem.
Either way, I'm done. You win. Your new clothes are just divine, Emperor.
