Over at Shacknews, I noticed they had a little article on the finalists for the Independent Games Festival (IGF) Student Showcase. None other than CS-Nation's own John "rizzuh" Jensen finds a little spotlight with his part in helping to create the game Toblo. Out of a total field of 102 entrants, Toblo finds itself as one of the ten finalists in the 2007 Student Showcase.
DigiPen Institute of Technology was the only school represented multiple times, with its teams grabbing three finalist slots. Each finalist will receive a $500 stipend, and the overall winning team will granted a $5000 award when the IGF ceremony is held on March 7 during this year's Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.DigiPen, the institute that brought you the Portal team, just keeps pumping out the talent. Congratulations to rizzuh and the rest of the Toblo team for their achievement of making it as a top 10 finalist!
