Halo 2? Super Smash Brothers? ... I don't see how they believe people will find spectating a Halo 2 or Super Smash Brothers game fun considering that neither of the games are even remotely fun to play...



Obviously a flop. And once this fails, the game-TV combination will have such a bad reputation that I doubt we'll ever see anything worth watching that is game related.

fact is, other countries already have gaming CHANNELS. they had these things for a long time. though many of u may be be unfamiliar with this, watching ppl play games on tv has been a success, in that it hasnt failed. in the least, it can be very entertaining to see how pros play, and how much smarter/talented they r than u.



i guess america doesnt care about games much or anything... i mean, who cares about halo2 or SSBM anyways? u gotta show GOOD games, like starcraft, warcraft, CS, or tekken and virtua fighter. halo2 is ok... ssbm is ok..... but those games arent nearly competitive enough to oblige ppl to watch on tv.

Obviously there are a few foreign films and TV programs that are recognized as gems even in the United States; however when comparing these few successful foreign imports to the countless successful American made programs these foreign imports appear to be insignificant in number. Your criticism of the American media is absolutely retarded. The war in Iraq was not unanimously accepted by the American media in the least bit; there was a valid argument to be made for both sides of the war argument and both sides were represented in the media. The idea that the American media was completely one sided was itself propaganda. The war in Iraq not only worked to create a rift in the international community between the United States and the countries which were most vocal against the war, but also to unite these countries in their own smugness.

Oh yea to get back on point, watching people play games on television is IN MY OPINION completely retarded. Personally when I play games, which is not that often anymore, I like PLAY them. I thought the point of video games was to be able to interact with the images onscreen and recording other peoples matches seems to defeat this purpose. w/e once again it doesn’t really matter what I think if people watch it will stay on if not then it will be gone very quickly.

The Office was made by a brit who was inspired by how some American shows tried to go deeper than the usual sitcom, and Dr. Who was a cheap sci-fi dash. Ab Fab? Are you kidding me?



Maybe we could mend our ways with some of China's soul-crushing repression, choking pollution, and rampant capitalism. Or Australia's draconian censorship and copyright laws and genetically-coded boorishness. Or maybe some good old Nordic xenophobia, complete with bizarre social rules. Germany has some nice censorship too. Or maybe even something like what France's doing; i hear they've made some awesome decisions lately.



There are plenty of other countries to emulate, and it's best to do so because they all offer a better position from which to view America's democracy than America actually does. Our media is bullshit, but everyone else's is apparently fan-holy-fucking-tastic.

I'd rather see Bush in an orange prison get up than see him for another second on TV, and not all of us buy into the cash-fueled lies that are spit at us.
