Well I'm running a LCD (with drivers installed) and it says in the hardware profile I'm running a CRT, so if mine was detected wrong, others probably were as well.

I was surprised by how many people are still using (relatively) old graphics cards and slow CPUs. (Including myself). I have to skip militia or nuke when they load, cause I know the map will be unplayable. "Surely Valve has tailored the game towards the majority of their users, and that means people with better computers than me, ohwell". Oops? According to their hardware survey, I'd now expect a great many more Source players to be skipping those maps, too. Is this so?Comment

It is nice to know the vast majority of players are unwilling to succumb to the graphics chip companys' outrageous prices. To a person who may just quickly glance at the chart, it may seem as if an ample amount of people own high-end cards (Geforce 6800, 7800, and X800), but in reality about 84% own low-end cards, with a few midrange, value cards tucked in here and there.
