Anybody have memories of when you could move the hosties back in 1.1, and the terrorists would take the hosties from the garage and the kitchen and go camp the bathroom. Those were the days...

I'm just glad to hear word that Militia is coming, and that they haven't abandoned it. I was getting pissed, but now I suppose it's only a matter of... well, I would say weeks but we're talking about Valve here so I'll just say a matter of time and I'll be playing my favorite CS map of all time on CSS.
Now we just need dod_caen for dods and we're in business!Comment

I wasn't implying that. Production is obviously a very important part of developing software. The producers at Valve Software helped develop Half-Life 2, whether or not they actually fixed bugs or made models.
mihn le (or however you spell it) created the mod. NOT jess cliffe.
As rizzuh said, he was more producer and marketing.
Edit: Last I heard, Minh works at Valve and lives in the Seattle area.Comment

Mr. Bond, you're a clever guy, hehe. Now go make me another calendar!
Yeah, Gooseman and Minh Le did some great work together despite all the "you're the same guy" naysayers.

Hehe, I wasn't sure if anybody would catch that... props. :)
Nighthawk, I love it when people reference calvin and hobbes.skankuser wrote..
When our team was doing well I was typically being a punk with an AK or Scout on the roof. However, when we started getting wiped out by an AWP whore on the other team... that was one of my favorite strategies. Load the hostages in front of the door so they couldn't open it, then sit back with your crosshairs at head-level waiting for silencers to poke through the door.

The best part was when you had like five guys out there, and you cap the first two that try to open the door, so the other three would open up and light up the door... annihilating the poor hostages, hehe. Other favorites were of course taking the hostages to the attic, or, better yet, doing the crazy ledge jump with hostages in tow and leaving them up there, then hiding somewhere and listening to CTs crater as they tried to rescue. :) Finally, the ever-dirty taking two hostages down the sewers, removing any chance of rescue without them needing to be guarded. Ahhh, those were the days...Vlux wrote..
Dude, reminiscing is a favorite pastime around here. :)
Wow, who ever knew a news post about a mystery map could land us on a discussion of CS history. Amazing.Stone Cold Spider 3:16 wrote..
One of the greats, certainly. Pity that cs_port, while having a similar name, is nothing at all like it.
cs_docks was the best map EVER!!!sushi wrote..

Curious that they have still never put him on their staff roster. Must be by his own request...

CS:S player models: gotta catch 'em all!
what sucks is the fact that it's taken them this long to make 2 new players models, and everyone was hoping for at least 4 on each side (5?
D) so we're looking at december 2008 for the whole set
i guess they're teaching us to appreciate things as we get themComment

.Sn0w. you're thinking of Justin Dejong (aka N0TH1NG), the creator of cs_docks and cs_siege.
