They didnt even bother fixing the silencer exploit on the M4 and USP like they did in Source. (When you press the secondary attack buttn for the M4/USP, switch to another gun, and switch back, skipping the animation)

meh, coincidence that it's released side by side with the new ATI X1000? :o

Actually -- even though it looks like the silencer is on it won't let you fire until after the animation has played through (even though you don't see it). Try it with the USP, you'll see what I mean.

Yeah you're simply skipping the visual. The delay stays constant, however.

My sentiments exactly. If it turns out to be disastrously short I can only conclude they've been sitting on their hands waiting for an ATI SM3.0 product to launch, and if thats the case then it's a sad sad day.

It seems like all we've had from Valve for months is

"Oh, it's almost ready to be released, we'll keep ya posted"

It was beginning to get a bit like a broken record. It's not like they had some sort of hacker incident excuse as to the delays.

Maybe they actually ran into a bug that caused it to be delayed...

At least I'd like to believe that's the reason.

Or maybe it's that Valve has been to lazy to press the "Lost Coast:Release" Button!.

I feel some what strange about the release now, I mean wasn't Lost Coast mean to be the benchmark for the HDR?, Yet it has yet to be released. You would of thought they would of released it before they released DOD:S hence then they could of tweaked it to work alot better with DOD:S from some responses i have heard the HDR in DOD:S is some what bright in certain parts of maps.

I mean personally i haven't played the game, so i dont know if this is true but if it is..., Then Valve for a Game developer it seems like they made a mistake, Not a step forward more like a step back, There just making more work for themself, Maybe you should think about releasing things in order next time Valve????

Also like CS:Source shouldnt the hitboxes of been sorted first?, or isnt that a big part of the game???

Why is that a sad day exactly? Assuming Valve and ATi have a lucrative partnership, what is so unacceptable about them agreeing to launch Lost Coast with their new card? I don't remember it ever being promoted as much more than a technical demo with a well lit fisherman.

I hope they saved their money from HL2...CSS is borked...always has been, always will be? As long as 1.6 stays up I'm ok with it...

                      LOL!

But why would it stop it from happening from other games/cards? Game companies getting controlled by Graphics Card manufacturers isn't a good thing. Next step would be making games inefficient so that people need to keep upgrading their hardware.
