Steam's New Look

I had it up and running for a few days now, but this morning it just stopped working. I checked the command line, and it was normal.

If you ever run Steam w/o that in the command line, it reverts to normal until you add the command line switch back in. If you have multiple icons for Steam, that can easily happen...



Anyway, the wiki is pretty funny, especially in the nitpicks section. There's a great part where someone is trying to point out the inconsistencies in window titles, and the guy responding apparently really doesn't get it.

# Main window is "STEAM - <username>" (all caps Steam)

# "File > Backup games..." opens window titled "Steam - Backup wizard"

* Isn't it supposed to?

# "File > Settings" opens window titled "Settings - Steam"

# "Help > About" opens window titled "About"

* Yes terribly sorry about that, next time we should make it quit the program. But seriously, what did you expect it to bring up?

The guy's just saying everything should look the same (eg, "STEAM - Settings" and "STEAM - About") but the guy responding can't quite figure that out. :)

Why oh why do I get multiple images of steam when I move it even slightly across my desktop?



I have a 1gb of ram before anyone says its that.



Only happens occasionally, cant pin point why!



Also the categories collapsing is a nice touch, now let me create my own :p

Hi i know this is a beta so dnt take a psycho on my but i was wondering is it normal for it to have little boxes next to the servers ?? let me know thanks for your time

It is a known bug, just read the changelog page.

I think/noticed when you start up the beta ui after using the old ui it updates...so it doesnt necesarily mean the betas been updated since you last used it.

the block thing has sorted but u need to exit steam go back to ur shortcut n click ok agian well i did n now it works perfect , no boxes :) *it will also re update steam like last time , for the last time we hope xD
