ok guys don't laugh a me this is a serious question... whats the steam target line and where can i find it to put "clientbeta betaui" so i can try the beta?

ok forget my last comment i have figured it out.... but for anyone else out there who hasnt heres what you do...



Find your steam shortcut icon on your desktop.

right click it

hit properties

add -clientbeta betaui to the end

in the target where it says "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\Steam.exe"

example:"C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\Steam.exe" -clientbeta betaui



then steam will update and there might be a little survey.. but after that your set!

Very cool interface...its hard to run it if you don't know wat the run command is in command prompt. Luckly I did after guessing twice. Looks good and I can't wait till those pesky bugs are out. Half Life 2: Lost Coast is starting to taunt me with its 100% completion =P

My sample command line:

Color coded so you can figure it out.
