The CPL has announced that in the upcoming 2005 Winter Championships and in the Razer CAL Tournament, the maps being played will be "fixed." No Rover, no need to cower in fear, it's not that kind of "fixed!" No, instead the CPL will be using updated versions of de_nuke, de_train, and de_dust2 that eliminate the chance of a flashbang bug from being exploited during a match.
These maps are server-side maps which correct the flashbang bugs on three popular maps: de_train, de_dust2, and de_nuke. These maps should prevent match disputes due to illegal flashbangs in tournament play.If the term "illegal flashbangs" gets you hot under the collar, then this is exactly what you're looking for.
These new maps do not require the clients to download or install a patched version to connect to a server with the patched version running.
