It looks very interesting. The videoclip provided in the Steam news doesn't do the game justice.
Here's his GDC presentation video:

The different modes look interesting and quite varied. There are minigames featuring games like long throw, soccer, high jump, etc. A movie maker, multiplayer games, a world editor, character customization.
It's not your typical "shoot things til they die" that everyone here is used to, and for that I'm even more interested in this one.Comment

The problem is to whose who find it interesting is that YOU guys will be the only ones playing the game. YOU guys will be the only ones having ability to join MAX 5 servers of multiplyer games, and then still the servers will either be full or completely empty (like in every beta games, there are never half empty half full servers, only either completely empty or completely full).
Anyways, Good luck to those who buy it, in my eyes it looks like a good game, but REALLY badly executed. And crops for only one person making the game. Not alot of people can model, code, and draw good.Comment

I hope the intent of that trailer was to make you never want to see the game again, because I sure don't. Maybe I'll get lucky and Steam will explode as Valve tries to upload it. what
To whoever said Valve shouldn't distribute games like this over Steam -- you hit the nail on the head. Valve is moving from "distributing Valve games" to "distributing content." This will be a big step since it's not a Valve title. If you think they doesn't seem concerned about their games now, wait until they're basically just an online publisher through Steam, using their games as examples of the engine and focusing on licensing rather than the game itself.
A while back, for continuing security and stability, Gabe Newell announced the First Steam Network. The old republic of Valve is being replaced by an empire that will seem much like EA. Once the "fully armed and operational battlestation" called Steam is finalized as a distribution method, I expect more and more people will start publishing through it... it gets you wide coverage very quickly, and probably at a reasonable price (although you never know with Valve).
doom, doom, doom! you're all doomed!Comment
