  • A Valve Twist On Reality

Planet Half-Life is spreading the word about an article posted on NewScientist.com about how a team of scientists, in Europe, are using our beloved Source engine to simulate and understand social evolution. Sounds like a jolly good time.
A society of virtual "agents" - each with a remarkably realistic personality and the ability to learn and communicate - is being crafted by scientists from five European research institutes who hope to gain insights into the way human societies evolve.
So, anyone wanna Source it up Sims-style?

Lets get a pot going to see how long it takes before one virtual "agent" harms another.

In addition, characters will be able to reproduce by mating with members the opposite sex
                      That's hot.

Dude, you get the gold star for that comment. A+ work!

So if they are only allowed to mate with the opposite sex, doesn't that limit the grounds the experiment will cover? They need to look into all area's, not just heterosexual ones.
