CSBANANA is definitely a great site, but there's no reason to start any flame wars on either site.



In regards to news, we've just revamped the entire news staff so hopefully more diverse news will pour in. I agree that we cover Team 3D a bit much, so we're going to address that in the coming weeks.

CS is becoming more a sport and less a game...I guess pub play is like backyard cricket and CS tourneys are matches played on a ground.



I think it all has to start from somewhere, it's just a shame that commercialism and money is what pushes sport these days rather than the joy of playing and trying to be the best.



I don't think CS will get there...it's far too easy for anyone to be good...you just need no life and want to practice 15 hours a day which sadly some 12 yr olds (and even sadder older people) do. It would be a sport where a 10 yr old can beat a 25yr old simply because he plays more often and wags school and has no other life, not that he is any more talented.

Competitive CS comes down to much much more than who practices the most. It's not a matter of practicing your aim for hours and hours on end, your team needs to have good strategies to be able to beat good teams. You need teamwork, communication, and a strategic mind to be able to compete in the higher level.

yes but really teamwork/communication only comes from practice, it doesn't happen overnight. That's all it is, it takes anyone 10 mins to evaluate a site's camping position, choke points, angles of attack, etc. and basically heaps of playtime later you're able to attack and defend a map...why do you think so many randoms just want dust2/aztec and an awp...



Sure, teamwork counts, but it's worth nothing if you get picked off by awp whores all day on a crap map (such as aztec). I've won many comps over the years and the number of times you get bundled out by kids who just camp in the same possies with an awp is plain boring and not a real test of skill or tactics in my book, it takes 10 mins of continuous use the master, nothing special.



Take out the awp I say ... that'll bring out some much better tactics and skill. All kiddies do these days is watch some demos of other teams tactics and buy an awp ... wulla...win!

i've warned users inclined to do this kind of stuff to cease doing so or they'll find themselves banned both here and on csb. i don't want militant users or "inter-site wars" and i especially don't want ddos attacks. my apologies.

Summary #1: CSBanana is cooler than CSNation because they don't concentrate on ESports. Nor should you, if you want to fit in.



Summary #2: But I only value the opinion of people who do well at ESports.



There is a logical disconnect here. The only way he would do better at ESports, and subsequently have a more valuable opinion in your eyes, is by learning the "strats" and "crap" that are available on CSNation and not CSBanana.
