Nuke or Assault? Becuase there seems like there would be some changes to assault due to the slight redesigns.
Yay nuke is comming, I also liked how they said the map will remain unchanged gameplay wise.
BTW: Shame on you for posting after me at Steampowered

andAs for more content, Jess Cliffe mentioned that Nuke was being worked on by Turtle Rock Studios along with original CS team member Chris Ashton. Cliffe said that Turtle Rock Studios would make certain that the gameplay dynamics would remain essentially unchanged. Along with Nuke, another new map made just for CS: Source was also being worked on by Dave "Driller" Riller, the creator of Port and Compound. Cliffe said that Valve would have a stronger focus on creating new, original maps after all the quality maps from 1.6 have been remade.
There you go :
And it he also said that all the quality maps from 1.6 will be ported to source, by that did he mean all of them? Rizzuh help me out here!
And because my last comment was a bit off topic to to the actual subject: Assualt is looking great!

Ah yeah I read that, but I wasn't sure what you personally meant. And I'm sure TRS will keep the Nuke fans happy. It's one of the biggest competition maps around, if they mess up I'm sure they'll hear about it.

And c'mon, only the quality maps will be converted. So ... everything but Survivor, Estate, Tundra, Storm, 747, and Airstrip (Though airstrip wasn't all that bad, just needed some major tweaking)?

It would be cool to have a train run by, for the reasons Zips put forth. It'd be cooler yet if the train could take people out. Crunch.
I think the synchronized traffic lights is just correctly timed red/green intervals. Yipee - that's like 4 lines of code. I don't even know why that was mentioned.
Yay, everyone loves Port and Compound! No, wait.

Although from cliffe's point of few he might only be talking about militia and siege. (Even though siege isn't really played anymore.)Eraser12 wrote..
Yeah, most of those maps came into cs after 1.1 and pretty much every map after that time was not successful probably because people didn't want to learn new map layouts, personlly I think piranesi can esaily be compared with aztec as to which is a better map.
Those maps were quality, they just weren't very popular. Hey, I liked storm!
So really I think the 'quality maps' are all of them apart from maybe one or two

Doug Lombardi and I had a lengthy conversation about the future of Counter-Strike's financial setup. There were implications that things like map packs may be up for sale in the future or that a monthly fee may be considered.

What the hell is this shit.. why is Valve trying to be like Microsoft, charge for every god damn thing.. including map packs???
Valve is already making great money with the sales of HL/HL mods and HL2/HL2 mods, they're even connected with Microsoft, hence CSX.. and other various wealthy companies..
And now they're thinking of charging players for map packs.. just like that horse shit Halo game..
I love HL/CS because there's no damn monthly fee, only annoying cheaters, that's all.. and now they're trying to make it more harder for us to enjoy their games.. yeah yeah VAC2 is there, so was VAC1, and the OGC creator hacked it, got the codes he needed and messed it up..
If Valve does start charging its players with stupid methods such as "map packs" or a "monthly fee" then consider Valve losing its #1 fan.
