Well, this is great news. I hope they can work out the balancing issues.

I hope they keep assault T-based. I think that it presented an unusual experience to the game. If you wanted to camp and have fun doing that (like me) you chose T. If you wanted to have a challenge, you chose CT. If you could beat the Ts as a CT, then you were skilled. If you were a T and were consistantly winning, the CT could blame it on the map, but as a T, you could still have fun. It's like a handicapped map. I think it should stay that way. I don't think it should be equal, but I also don't think it should be e-sport worthy.Comment

I agree. I loved going on CT and trying to infiltrate the base. I would wait till the perfect moment to get in the vent, then wait to drop down near hostage room and could usually take out whatever was left of the Ts. Good times :0

we've had community-made versions of de_vertigo, de_nuke, cs_militia, cs_backalley, and cs_assault for quite a while now. Some of them pretty good. Valve certainly seems to be making much more detailed versions than any of the community-made maps so far, but the ones that are out there are still fun to play and don't look bad by any means. I'd love to play de_survivor again, among others.Comment
