I wonder if you're thinking of the same custom version of train. There are several out there. There was one that I tested that was in fact a horrible looking map. de_train_2k5 is, however a very nicely done map. Quite well made and was a joy to play. I can't immagine anyone calling that map bad at all let alone the worst source map ever. I recommend you at leat load it up and see if you are mistaken.

Hence why it was only included for those who prefer the fan made one more than the official one for whatever reason.



No sense in arguing over one map that you do not even have to play as it was just thrown in there for a handful of people.

Hmm, one of the maps in this pack is called "de_inferno"



What about the official de_inferno? There can't be two maps with the exact same name. :/



Does CS:S even have an official de_inferno yet? I can't remember. Meh, even if it doesn't, they still should use a different name (like de_inferno_2k5 or something) because Valve will eventually release an official version of the map... if they haven't already.

No official inferno for cs-s. There are a couple ports that didn't bother using custom names (there is a custom de_train for example). Doesn't matter, just means if Valve release those maps, they'll be overwritten on the servers, and people who have the files locally will have to delete them else face the "map differs from server" error. A little short sighted/proud on the map makers behalf no doubt.

heh,

we do have POTD like MANY MANY sites do around the world. We don't have SOTD though. We have a file downloads section with skins, models etc. but we aren't trying to be or steal from CSN.



We've always enjoyed a good relationship with the fine people of CSN and look to continue that for a long long time.
