I want friends to work properly! :) I don't like getting messages from friends when I'm not signed on friends, and then not being able to reply because I'm not signed on, and then trying to sign on only to be told the network is under maintenence
    Xfire is your friend.

If this update's true, that'd be great.

What was wrong with friends for those who found it didn't work:

              A) If you were in CS (and not Steam on your windows desktop), you could add servers to favorites all day. Restart CS (even if you don't restart Steam) and they all went poof...whatever was the list previously stays (which means nothing deletes, either).

              B) Occasionally the same problem would occur on the desktop, too.

              C) Even if you set it all up on the desktop to have your favorite servers, after like a couple weeks, all your favorites would get wiped, and if problem B occurred just then too, it was a hassle to do the work-around and put them all back in again...if you still knew their IP's.

So yeah, this update is great.

So... do you think they're ever going to fix the spec_menu bug that's been in Steam since it came out?

Friends has never worked for me, which is odd because it worked for me perfectly fine in CS 1.6.

I prefer they roll out bug fixes over the course of 4 years, really helps keep that 'beta' feeling, like we're all testing out the next best thing, only it never comes.

I have two accounts, one with source and the other is non source. The source account, friends never works. On the non source account, Friends works perfectly. I don't know if this is true for other people.

It's really irritating to me actually. It freezes up my browser constantly even if I don't click it or even move my mouse over a triggered word.

just disable the ad servers in the windows hosts file.

no more BS on this site :)

isnt it about time vlalve fixed the "favourites not being saved even though u added a server as a favourite" bug?
