Source seems to be dying to me.. A lot of people who have been playing CS on our server for years, and other people I know are moving on to other games or going back to old ones.

Yea I know that my little corner of the cs world doesn't represent everyone, but we have been running cs servers for a long time, and this is the trend I see. Seems like Valve has just finally stretched everyones patience to far. They are getting tired of waiting for this game to be good.

Now is a strange time for CS: a lot of people are on the fence about CS:S. I too have my own (CS 1.6) server and I am having problems getting my old 1.6 community to move over to source. so i just turned off my 1.6 sever after 3+ years. I just got sick of all the bitching, stat-whoring, the loud-ass server cooling fans and endless rounds of iceworld. I have been playing CS since you could kill the hostages with FB 'nades and I am just tired of it. playing source I get to enjoy being a nub again, getting lost on maps having a crappy score. I hated source the 1st few times i played it: everything felt so sloppy compared to 1.6 but now i like it much better than 1.6 it just feels and looks more "real" to me. i enjoy the fact it's still a beta game. the constant changes keep me coming back to see what's diff.
