Here's the plan guys..
First, we're headed to DC to get that motherfucker Bush and the neocon assholes out of there. Then, we're taking down every major corporation who is fucking us over from behind, and take down WTO with it. Then you can use Xfire or whatever else you want.
Then we're going to have the most massive American Gladiators-esque joust match the world has ever seen.. and peace will reign forever.Comment

The question is whether they somehow stole the technology, or created it themselves.
Seriously, programming is trying to figure out how to get a computer to do what you want it to do.
If in this case, you want it to do basically the same thing as another program, then chances are, even if you come up with the code yourself and don't steal it, it's going to be basically the same thing as another program.
I don't understand what the problem is. There's several operating systems, several word processors, several internet browsers, e-mail checkers, instant messengers. So why not several game-type instant messengers? What makes this so unique that it's patent infringement?
I don't get it.Comment

Yes, xfire earns a lot of money. Yahoo has good reasoning, some xfire dev's worked on yahoo, then quit, and used part of Yahoo for xfire. I would be mad if I was Yahoo.
I now loath Yahoo i can understand why they made xfire with no realtion to Yahoo, instead of stealing it they saved it from the evil clutches of yahoo. Does xfire really earn money? You dont pay for it. So why does Yahoo have there knickers in a knot?Comment

Wow talk about being clueless. Xfire breaks the law by illegally producing a product that uses technology copyrighted by Yahoo and that makes Yahoo the bad guy?
