Great update. Nice map and glad to see some bots added for a little bit of offline target practice.

Great updates Valve. I got owned by bots....big time. Coolest bots I had ever seen in a video game.

I'd like to know why there is a need for this "check" on the view models?

...why limit viewmodel size? V models effects only my view of the world, so larger models would only make it harder to see, so I don't see the reasoning to restrict that.
I'd like to know where it says that the view models are checked? Or am I missing something?

Exactly, FatboyTim. I was thinking p_models needed to be checked for consistency, like in 1.6 and I'm sure CZ. That way you don't have a model for a gun that sticks out really far, so you can see people behind corners, and whatever.

Could we get some screenies of de_tides for us non-CS:S people?

There is a check for v_model consistency; a CS custom site I've downloaded replacements from sometimes violate this. :[

de_tides is nice, but I'd really love a port of de_fastlane. That map was amazing.

also valve should port these bots to HL2DM

god this is soo slow.. Why can't they just let us download a patch and install it? What is so bad about that? They wouldn't have to pay for ridiculous bandwidth (which still isn't enough) and we could get updated quickly...

Steam has some cool features, but updating through it sux ass.
Weird, I updated with 3+Mbit last night.. Updates are always pretty fast for me.. I guess it's all about what content server you connect to, and at what time.. I'm in Europe, and at 01.00h at night it's most likely not to busy on the Euro content servers, giving me good speeds..

To bad you cannot select yourself which content server you want, I still think Valve needs to implement this option in Steam next to automatic selection.. That could possibly spread the load better, and give more people better update/downloadspeeds on Steam..
