A tip to everyone who is having trouble starting their game/downloading the update, try deleting clientregistry.blob and restarting Steam. As far as I know it lets you connect to a different server to get the update.
Thanks. That seems to work nicely, before this it wasn't letting me connect to patch at all, now it's dowloading quite fast.

Valve does not care about your dumb CAL bullshit.

In other news, this update is a winner.
SUPER SLAM! Thank you for saying what the silent majority of CS:S players are thinking, along with "Thank god they ported an underplayed map"

On behalf of everyone. Shut up.

Great update. Nice map and glad to see some bots added for a little bit of offline target practice.

All the sudden I'm crashing to desktop all over the place (not just in de_tides, but CS:S in general). Maybe its just me. Great update anywho, I love de_tides. After playing it, I noticed how dull the other maps looked in comparison (dull and CS:S maps dont go into the same sentence, but you get the point). Looking forward to some more maps, and if nothing else, please for crying out loud attempt to fix the laggy effect when you brush up against players, that is my only complaint about the game atm.

I wonder if this update prevents the speed hack which ive been seeing alot of lately..

                              nice update . thanks valve.

I hope the model checking doesn't get too restrictive. Part of why I like CS so much is the ability to customise the look of the game - I really don't want that to go away.

Like, why limit viewmodel size? V models effects only my view of the world, so larger models would only make it harder to see, so I don't see the reasoning to restrict that.
