A couple of things: Anybody else notice how the physics seem a little different from regular HL2? For example, the green filing cabinets really seem to fly, like physics gravity is lower than usual. It was on a couple of servers, and I find it hard to believe that both servers have changed the default physics commands already. Also, I get a weird HUD glitch I was wondering if anybody else had. The number showing your bullets is in the wrong place and partially cut off, on every gun:

I don't have this problem in HL2 single player, I just checked.Comment

Cant play any source games either.. Tried running HL2 first, but it doesnt start either, im validating the files right now.. I wonder why valve cant pull off anything flawlessly like blizzard, every little thing they do is riddled with setbacks and mistakes, I dont understand how a company can operate like this. :-\
Even their "surprise for the community" ends up being another failure, as you can see by the people here who cant play their game. Why couldnt they just send a cute stripper to the houses of all who are bearing with them, cant go wrong with that.Comment

Right, you try building a program that can deal with the burden of hundreds of thousands of players at once, and you try configuring the network and you try dealing with all the pricks that cant wait two seconds for something to be released. Then you will see how VALVe is coping.Comment

Sweetness!!! This is a HUGE update.
Oh and tenreh did you try to play WoW the first three days??? Yea good luck trying to get into servers. Played at a friends house and every single server had an hour or more wait to get in.
Plus Ive seen very very few people that actually have a problem. Right now there are 4,000 people playing HL²DM.Comment

And who wanted them to do that?
Steam is not well liked among the average player.
They took it upon themselves to increase their greed and control over WHO plays their game with steam.
That being said, their network is handling it great, I think, everyone obviously got the patch because now the game wont even start for most people. And if steam were as great as they say, my platform would be updating with a fix as we speak. You dont release a patch that completely downs the product and then call it a night.
And take the steam forums offline so nobody can get an official word on shit.Comment
