I use Mozilla, I hate IE with a passion!!! What a waste of programmers minds.
    Why do you hate IE?

IE has a very basic design, with NO AOL style features and funky buttons.

It is just a window, and you can browse as many sites as you want without closing any.

And all of the addition features you need are available as plugins, you don't have to use all of the bullshit that comes with AOL, Mozilla, and Firefox.

IE is for nerds, everything else is for n00bs.

Its not the design, is it poor support for webstandards, and its many security holes and its vulnerability. I must mention SPYWARE, also.

This is when a geeky nerd pops in and says 'USE MOZILLA', and then continues to roll out (because it's in his clipboard) all the reasons for using it over and above IE.
I don't think we'll be seeing any of that, Simplex has been pretty inactive for the time being.

Still debating whether or not to wait for retail or to buy one of the steam packages. It appears the retail box won't include DoD:Source and HL:Source. Do I want a box that badly? Hmmmm.
Not to fear - according to steampowered.com, the HL2 Gold Steam package comes with a "collector's box."

I suppose it's not so much the box that I want, so much as the hard-copy of the discs themselves. I really could care less for the T-shirt, ball-cap, trip to Seattle (I live in Vancouver so it's damned close), chance to meet Valve, strategy guide and all that garbage. Somehow shelling out $80-90 CDN for a bunch of junk and a bunch of cryptic symbols (cd-key) doesn't work for me.

I'll probably end up getting the retail set since I've never played DoD in my life anyhow, although the original reason from which the dilemma arose was that I was interested in DoD:Source.

                  Argh.

                    ew popups, ew.
Sorry, I'm not currently paying for any host and I'm not going to buy some space for a small page that 4 people visit.

FireFox doesn't support all websites (you might see one with messed up frames or weird layout). I'm not sure if it supports the latest version of HTML. I like IE better because it's something I've grown used to and is always current with new tags or something.

                      Google toolbar = x

                      Internet Explorer = y

                      Few popups = z (no popups = z^2)

                      x+y=z

if x2 equals googletoolbar plus XPservicepack2

                      then x2+y=z^2

In other words, download google toolbar and service pack 2, unless you actually like popups, dumbass.
It was one of the on-page image popup ads (i.e. floating image). Which I had turned on in my browser options for some reason. I don't have IE, and I can't use google toolbar, or any toolbar for that matter. Your equation is useless, but don't worry. I'm sure you'll be back with a new one, scout.

edit: Oh yes, I have sp2 as well.

Firefox doesn't support every website not because it is lacking anything, but rather because IE supports bad coding and design. In fact, Firefox supports CSS 2 and CSS 3, which IE only barely scratches the surface of, and is much more reliable in terms of W3C standards than IE.

But idiot web designers still design stuff not to W3C spec but rather to Microsoft's made up spec that is more limiting and poorly implemented. Hooray, let's all use IE.

Note I say this as a true WinXp fanboy and I seriously think that Windows XP is one of the most amazing pieces of software I've ever come across. That said, IE is a piece of complete shit and we'd all be better off if it died, preferably by me slicing its throat.

I thought the Gold version came with a DVD containing all the games??? Either way I bought silver, I figure I will kill time with CS:S, I lose all my game CD's either through loaning or destruction, by the time Valve loses all it's money and closes, I probably won't care about HL2 anymore, and I'm lazy as fuck. GG Valve, Steam wins this time, but if I get burnt on it some how, I'll never trust interweb purchasing again!!!

I use mozilla for two reasons: One: I've never seen a popup since it's been installed. Two: Tabbed browsing.

Also(in the voice of an italian football announcer): GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLD!
