|cyborg| wrote..I remember reading an interview with Doug Lombardi a couple of months ago where he said once the game went gold, all of the Valve staff would be going to Mexico to party for a couple of weeks. I wonder if that means they're going sometime between now and when the game is released, so they'll be back in the office to deal with any bugs or issues once the game is live. He also said something about drinking lots of Tequila while they're there. As an aficionado of fine Tequila myself, I'd recommend trying Herradura Seleccion Suprema, it's supposed to be the best in the world. I could go on and on about great Tequila right now, but this isn't the time or the place.
Everyone is celebrating, although im still waiting on that uproar coming from valve HQ, i wonder if they are all out partying themselves
EDIT: Found the quote: "...the very first thing happening after the release of Half-Life 2 involves much tequila." I think the comment about going to Mexico was in a video interview, where he said they were all going there to get hammered after the game went gold, but I can't find a transcript of it anywhere.
Long time no see
