Nice to see counter-strike is selling out to 'pin-ups'. I don't mind women playing cs at all, cos we are all part of the same community, but this is just attention whoring, and I would say the same if a bunch of guys did it. So prepare for a boy band strike soon ppl.

Stupid journalist's idea. As a journalism major, it's really sad when the AP is printing really stupid things. Shit, Ralph Nader came to New Haven and they said he spoke 'in front of the Skull and Bones building,' which was completely untrue.



As far as this article, they just can't be considered a good CS team if they placed 4th in the women's competition at ESWC. They're only getting the attention because they're hot. (or that one girl in the picture is)



Until they play well against the 'pro' clans, they'll just be the Anna Kournikova of CS.



Girls can be just as good at CS as guys, it's just a matter of fewer of them playing, and therefore fewer top female players emerging.



It's really too bad that skill in CS is of reduced importance; there isn't much different skill wise between heaton and ksharp. We're never going to get a real Michael Jordan of this game because of it. CS works a bit like the NFL: the 'salary cap' is the skill cap, and the best teams win because of teamwork and strategy, not because they have one superstar player carrying the whole team.



Still, if 6 women can get together and they're close enough to the top in skill, they have a chance to be as good as SK/3D. I hope it happens so we'll have a real reason to cheer for them as opposed to 'omg ur so hawt!!!!!111111two'
