On CS:S, i'm kinda glad they released de_dust as the map, in a sense it defocuses your attention from the map itself, and lets you enjoy the engine updates more.

But its soo.. dusty... needs water... build oasis, enjoy splash effects

You just answered your own question if you think about it.

Anyone with a low opinion of their latest products isn't going to be first on their list of people to ask to try this one.

They aren't planning on an open beta. You will have to wait for HL2/CS:S to be released, and buy it then.



Alternatively you can spend $16 on ebay and get an unused CS:CZ key. Just buy from someone who is selling multiple keys and has no negative feedback.

Damn, they totally switched buy scripts around. You now have to use "buy ak47" instead of just "ak47" and such. Also, they changed the names of some items. "flash" is now "flashbang" and "hegren" is now "hegrenade"... It took me WAY too long to get my buy scripts working right. :P

Your exactly the type of person who puts people like George W. Bush in office. I played the beta for a few minutes, it's just cs with eye candy. I doubt HL-2 will be much fun but at least we'll get a prettier version of Cs. I wish some one would do a fun Doom 3 Multiplayer mod, the standard death match is really boring, but the graphics are so amazing.
