My games starts fine, it crashes only when im loading the game or a few seconds after I'm in game.



I've tryed ALL possible fixes and none work.



And even if it work it's not the right way to do, the fix have to come from valve not from us.

I haven't played CS Source yet but based on the the many articles on this site i think it started out pretty well for a beta. Well just my opinion. I hope more updates will allow me to play, till then CSNATION ALL THE WAY!

so far ran perfectly, tried a few stress tests at different levels.. time to get a new GFX card me thinks my 2800+ and 1.5gb of ram are fine.. just the 9200 se 256mb.. need a 9800 damnit.. *sigh* ah well.. still runs smoothly and looks amazing



no hangs no deaths a few textures glitches, but it's a beta lol.. looks nice



oh and does anyone else get a dodgy pink X reflection map when they run the stress test? or was that just me?

Mobius, i can check tonight. In 1.6 the setting was cl_dynamiccrosshair 0, dont know if that works under cs:s

Quickdraw - Go to Options --> Advanced --> Keyboard. In there is a option to enable the tilda (~) key to bring up console.

Yes, You will. It should play fine. Of course, more is more....so if you can afford a video card upgrade to something like a 9800, you should.

When I try to load CS:S I get as far as the search for servers menu and then the game just freeze's. At that point my only option is to push the restart button on my pc, any suggestions?

Hi all, ive downloaded the CS: Source BETA 1. The download comes in a .rar, its alot of .dll and stuff like that. And i have No clue how to install this piece of shit.. I got it from a friend, not with steam..

Best of my knowledge, it HAS to be played on Steam. There may be some hacking of it possible, but I never seek such things. Just bite the bullet and use Steam. It's also the only way you will get updates for the game that Valve is putting out to fix issues that people are experiencing.

Wow. People need to chill out and remember that it's a beta and there are going to be problems that will prevent you from playing the game completely. They are trying to adapt it as they go, so stop getting pissed when a problem isn't fixed in less than 48 hours.



Also stop complaining about how the guns aren't realistic enough. If you want realism go buy a fucking modified M4 with the shells flying away from your face and the ejection port that stays open as you spray. It's a game. Their biggest concern isn't making the guns look nice for those few aficionados that know what it is SUPPOSED to look like.
