CS:S BETA Released

Looks good so far and very promising for a game that's getting harder and harder to go back to after the awesome beauty (but equally awesome stupidity) of Far Cry and Doom 3.



I'm having trouble aiming, though, what with all the laughing over the retarded M4 ejection port cover flapping open and closed with every shot. That's the problem with modelers who aren't actually shooters. (The cover pops open the first time you pull the charging handle back and it stays that way until you manually close it.)

What kind of lag do you get? Is the game choppy or does it have to do with your connection?

I ont know like my cs:s ping is up to like 500 and it like skips

Make sure you play on servers with good ping. Also, see if you have your rate set at your apropriate connection. You can configure your rate when you go to your settings>internet tab; pick your connection there.

Some of the weapon models are a joke... I think you get better stuff in the SotD archives or on the Clan of the Dead Goat's Gunshop... hell, Valve should pay those guys to model them weapons for CS Source.



I do like the Deagle and USP models though. Don't like the hammer on the DE though.



And it seems pretty damn laggy to me... but maybe it was all the people trying to get in the server I was on.

i have reinstalled steam 3 times, and done every thing from gcf to other files that are stated in forums. it still crashes to desktop and will not even load up or show menus or nothing. alot of people are having this prob and i bet the fags over at steam are just laughing their ass's off... making us all excited for nothing. figures should of known gay ass steam would glitch/bug every two seconds thats all its capable of. i downloaded this crap for hours upon hours and still wont work. i hate steam always have and always will, bought cz for nothing lame 20 fps laggin ass game.



need friggin 1024mb ram geforce 6800 ultra, p4 hyperthreading, T3 just to play games now o days its friggin bull crap i swear. imma be playing doom3 intill they fix this lame beta crash crap. hah some beta doesnt even let half the cs community even load it up.

Also why are the ejection ports STILL on the wrong side of the gun in right handed view, you would think someone would have told them by now... And even if you were left handed you would be using weapons that are modified to have the ejection port on the left side of the weapon, so the shells don't fly in your face. If they had modified ejection port styled guns for left handed users in game, they could just mirror it like they do now and it would be correct for right handed people (majority) too. Just my 2 cents.
