CS:S Sees 1st Update

The Counter-Strike: Source BETA sees has seen its first update over Steam today. Only Valve Cyber Cafe Partners are eligible for the BETA until it opens up to CS:CZ owners and ATI voucher holders next week. Here's the recent changes.

• improved steam behavior for listen servers behind a nat device
  
  
• improved load behavior before content is ready
  
  
• eliminated grenade jumping

CS: Source server admins will need to run the hldsupdatetool to grab the latest update from Steam.



More good news for Cyber Cafe Partners: Valve has released the "Valve Cyber Café License Server" which allows LAN center owners to have more control over individual licenses and content caching.

I also find it interesting that they don't have to listen to everyone but they choose to, even though 90% of the community bitches about everything and anything. I'm glad even through all this they still try and make changes so that they can please the majority of their customers.

Granade jumping is like in TFC were if you trow down a granade and jump on it when it exsplodes it shoots you up and away.



This is used to get to points faster and to points you can't normal reach.

yes, that'd be nice, but knowing valve, they're not gonna go with it :P

they have a gimp in the secret basement in the new militia...its sweet, it even has the pulp-fiction esque musci playing in the background.
