Iason wrote..I agree completely. That said, without actually trying any such climbing system, it's kind of hard to judge what impact it would have on gameplay.
My opinion: Gameplay isnt worth sacrificing for realism.

Oh how I'd laugh if the solution to all this - the problem being the inability to jump on top of each other - was to disallow jumping altogether.
Yes, I'd laugh a lot.
Something like, "hahahaheeheehee", but with more phlegm, and some Brian Blessed volume and belly trembling.

I have yet to play CS:S, but if the zero-accuracy while being shot rumour is true, I will be really upset.
As for the rest of the changes, I don't care I've been playing the game long enough and yes I bitched and moaned about changes, but it all works out in the end.
No I'm not a pubstar player, I've been playing the game since its retail release and have been competitive in CAL DOG UGS RGL shortly after starting. Yes, I'm afflicted by some of the changes that change gameplay, but most of the changes always work for the better. Most of you people need to fighting each other over who's voice matters more because they've been playing longer, because it is just ridiculous, get over yourselves.
However, I will at least put my opinion across...
CS:S is a port of CS 1.6 to the Half-Life 2 engine. A lot of new weapons and gameplay changes ARE NOT supposed to be implemented in this release. I don't really mind the boosting change, sure the team and myself use it once and awhile, but it isn't going to cost us a match and make us quit the game. Realism is real life, not video games. There are many video games out that simulate realism, and most of them failed. I know the original intent of CS was to aim for realism, but the little flaws of the engine became fun and made the game play great.
Let me put it this way, are you going to tell me Mario wasn't fun because it was unrealistic? No, Mario was a great game and it didn't need hardcore realism to be one. CS doesn't need the hardcore realism either.
In conclusion, the only real complaint I have about CS:S (from what I've read) is the zero accuracy while being shot. Everything else I can live with and play the game. For all those who say source is ruining the game, shut it, because you know you will still play the game just as much as you have before.

uhh stop talking as if you know anything.
I like the jumping stops it keeps fucktards from jumping out and shooting you in the air with the awp bullshit.
How will it look realistic when there is some dude jumping off another guys shoulder 10 feet off him to a box??
It will be like in CS 1.6 most likly.
WHAT I DON"T GET: Why didnt they take advantage of the barrels to boost themselves?? I mean you can either leave them or the CTs can shoot them out so you have to move them back, etc etc...
Oh well boosting is somewhat an off seen topic for cs but then again there are alot of strats in clan sthat involve it.
=====================================
Also like the fact you can't jump then run off cause it keeps that bunny hoping out that so many of us hate. Sure you can get a few hops in 1.6 but its nothing like 1.3 if you know what I mean.
The fact that someone can't jump out and and fire the awp and duck back in is good since there will be time for you to blast his ass away.
they can disable bunnyhopping without having to cause a delay after jumpingComment

those sick fuckers.
In or out, doesn't matter to me. I was usually the one doing the boosting anyhow as I'd crouch and my teammates thought it was an open invitation to jump on me.amerinkaico wrote..
that would be neat..but how would it work?
I like boosting, but I would also would like to see one player boosting meaning that you can only get on top of one player n not ur whole team . . . I think one player boostin would keep things neutral n it would be awesome . . . any thoughts on this?
if a 3rd person wants to get on there he'd just slip off?
if you are going to add in boosting.. i dont see any reason if limiting the number. Usually when a team creates a huge pillar of people, i doubt they are going for an advantage.
also, can ANYONE explain why the Ts have coneheads.. what were they thinking.. ANYONE?Comment

I think I have experienced the "zero accuracy". I a few times I crouch kill 1 guy, and a second guy will hit me with a shot as I snap onto him then we both just sit there bursting slowly, slower then u burst and ak in 1.6 accuractly... but nobody want's to die lol. Your just thinking omg why won't he die..
If they fix that and make it like 1.6 then that would be a big fix :)Comment

I would hope it would b more like people not being able to jump on top on a second person. Of course maps would have places in which u can make one-player stacks n get to different levels to make it a lil more interestin . . . just a wish, but boosting MUS STAY!!!!! lolzComment
