Gabe Newell has posted at the Half-Life 2 Fallout forums about bug fixes in the works for the Counter-Strike: Source BETA.
Problems we know about:Gabe goes on to say that the Counter-Strike: Source BETA for CZ and ATI owners is still on track for the 8/16 preload and the 8/18 release. You can read his entire post at the Half-Life 2 Fallout forums. The first five will be fixed in a release we do tomorrow. The server browser problem may or may not get fixed in that release. The hardware configurations are getting fixed as we learn about them.
- can't create a listen server behind a nat (you get a ticket error)
- first time you launch the game, the material for the launcher background doesn't load
- you can jump into the sky brush using a grenade
- crash in the vphysics code
- missing +ip command-line argument
- memory corruption in the server browser
- some hardware specific configuration issues
Running @ a datacenter owned by a friend right now. That would be awsome get some HL2 and Mod support of 64. Would own other games haha. Only other game that uses 64 currently is FarCry, but that has to be gotten through a disk
. Or somewhere forget. But 64 bit rules. Gabe = fat lazy guy and can't get HL2 out, but can market stuff so he suckers us into stuff
